As a Concrete Finisher with IMCO General Construction, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and even finish of poured concrete foundation pads. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in meeting the high standards of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete foundation pads using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Check the forms that hold the concrete to ensure they are properly constructed.
- Set the forms to the desired pitch and depth, and align them.
- Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.
- Monitor the curing process of the concrete, taking into account the effects of wind, heat, or cold.
- Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
- Signal the truck driver to position the truck for pouring concrete, and move the chute to direct the concrete onto the forms.
- Produce a rough concrete surface, using a broom.
- Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of the concrete, and waterproof or restore the surface.
- Operate a power vibrator to compact the concrete.
- Follow daily work plans, reports, and complete timecards accurately.
- Lift 50+ pounds.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Pre-employment drug testing required.
- Criminal background check required.
- Adhere to all safety requirements.
- Commitment to teamwork, safe work practices, and integrity.
