About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the success of our Bank Rates research efforts.

This role will involve working on various research reports and company documents to collect and analyze data, as well as monitoring bank consumer deposit and loan rates in real-time.

As a Data Analyst on our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Updating interest rates for US banks through internet-based research according to SPGMI parameters
  • Scaling up automation efforts and utilizing UI tools for parallel execution and continuous improvements
  • Quickly grasping and utilizing our Web Automation process for rates collected via websites and PDF documents
  • Responding to data inquiries and actively tracking information on the covered content set
  • Delivering accurate and timely output, applying a 'doing right the first time' mindset
  • Identifying and reporting new disclosures or gaps in policies and procedures
  • Contributing to process improvement through error checks, audit suggestions, and tool enhancements
  • Innovating by identifying enhancement initiatives
  • Buidling subject-matter expertise on various workflows and processes of the dataset
  • Troubleshooting problems and supporting the team in enhancing workflows and processes
  • Reviewing feedback and helping to correct errors and establish or refine procedures and processes
  • Remaining up-to-date on industry trends and utilizing upskilling and reskilling opportunities to expand the existing skillset
  • Providing input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the dataset
  • Delivering on predefined individual and team targets, including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence
Basic Qualifications/Competencies

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and competencies:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's/College degree and/or prior experience working in a customer service setting
  • Strong attention to detail and persistent approach to work
  • Proven ability to work with minimal direction and maintain focus and motivation while working with routine and repetitive tasks
  • Background in MS Office
  • Basic Python or SQL skills are an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy
  • Comfortable taking initiative and demonstrating resourcefulness
  • Open to fresh graduates
  • Amenable to work the night shift and rotational shift, as well as overtime/weekends or holidays as needed
