We are seeking a Foreman to supervise a team of laborers and operators and ensure the successful completion of various civil/earthwork construction tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure work sites are cleaned and cleared of hazardous materials prior to construction projects.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of work completed.
  • Create and monitor schedules for each worker.
  • Establish positive working relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of supplies and materials.
  • Track construction costs.
  • Brief crew members on daily tasks.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedules to ensure timely project completion.
  • Update a 3-week schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Conduct daily safety toolbox talks.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on proper construction techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure all machinery and tools are available to the crew and in good working condition.
  • Perform inspections to ensure crew performance meets set standards.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Create progress reports daily and communicate significant information to the supervisor.
  • Handle onsite incidents and emergencies proactively.
  • Ensure periodic maintenance and proper storage of equipment and tools.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in construction, operating heavy equipment and power tools.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts quickly and amicably.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and equipment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to work out of town.
