Job Summary

This is a full-time psychiatric position that involves a key leadership role in coordinating and developing existing, yet rapidly expanding, primary care - behavioral health integration programming within the facility. The Psychiatrist will provide a full range of psychiatric services to assigned patients, including assessment, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric services to assigned patients, including assessment, screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Prescribe, direct, and administer psychotherapeutic treatments or medications to treat mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses, or other professionals to discuss treatment plans and progress.
  • Participate in treatment team activities to include the development and periodic review of patient treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of medicine.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice medicine in New York State.
  • Five (5) years of full-time licensed experience as a physician practicing general medicine or in a specialty area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience conducting crisis and individual interventions.
  • Familiarity with high-risk populations and community settings.
  • Experience in psychiatric care of medical patients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting.
