Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Center for Orthopedic Research and Education is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team. This role focuses on delivering specialized orthopedic care across various domains including surgical and non-surgical treatments for joint and musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient health, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Provide both acute and chronic care, including patient histories, physical examinations, and administration of therapies.
  • Manage patient inquiries and evaluate concerns through effective triage.
  • Respond to urgent situations, employing CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and care provided.
  • Educate patients and their families to foster understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
  • Assist in surgical procedures and participate in hospital rounds as required.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

Education:

Certification in CPR and ACLS is required.

Physician Assistant candidates should possess a BA/BS degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and must be graduates of an AMA accredited program. Active or scheduled NCCPA Certification is necessary.

Experience:

Prior experience is preferred, though we are open to mentoring qualified new graduates.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in assessing patient health and implementing treatment plans.
  • Understanding of health promotion and patient education techniques.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret physiological and emotional patient data.
