Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Water Porter to join our team at Oak View Group Hospitality. This part-time position will be responsible for executing, achieving, and maintaining the core functions of distributing water coolers and jugs throughout the McCormick Place Convention Center and WINTRUST Arena.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and distribute water coolers and jugs according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • Deliver and set up Water Bars
  • Communicate maintenance concerns regarding water coolers to management
  • Maintain storage areas by ensuring coolers/jugs are properly placed on racks, shelves, or pallets
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, addendums, or requests for product and distribute in a timely manner
  • Verify quantities, record amounts of water coolers and jugs received or distributed, including shortages and damages
  • Maintain consistent communication regarding par levels with Department Director, Managers, and Supervisors
  • End-of-show duties, including returning water coolers to designated storage locations and maintaining, cleaning, and inventorying water cooler equipment
  • Use proper and safe methods when operating warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks
  • Follow directions from Managers/Warehouse Lead
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Sufficient math ability to accurately add, subtract, divide, multiply, and perform other basic business math calculations
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees
  • Understand written and oral direction and communicate effectively with others
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency. The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, and lifting, with the ability to work various shifts and hours, including holidays and weekends.
