Assistant Manager OverviewAs an Assistant Manager, you'll lead our diverse and inclusive culture, driving exceptional associate and client engagement. You'll oversee activities to achieve store goals, including financial objectives, client service, talent management, operational controls, asset protection, and safety. You'll also operate as the Manager on Duty in the absence of another Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Lead with integrity and care for all associates
- Support talent management, including recruiting, hiring, training, development, performance management, recognition, retention, and succession planning
- Assist in filling positions with qualified talent and develop internal bench strength
- Partner with the Store Manager to recognize opportunities and adjust strategy to align with business demands
- Prioritize and control workload through successful planning and delegation
- Manage controllable expenses and comply with Asset Protection policies and practices

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with:
- Strong communication, supervisory, and customer service skills
- 6 months to 1 year of specialty retail experience, preferably in a selling environment
- Prior management experience is preferred
- Technology proficiency and strong business acumen
- A flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in English; other languages are desirable
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required
This role requires:
- Constant movement throughout the store to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, complete floor sets, unpack and replenish stock, and complete other tasks
- Frequent operation of a computerized register system
- Responding in person to occasional, unscheduled store banking requirements and store alarms
- Adjusting or moving objects (garment racks, mannequins, etc.) or merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds in all directions on a frequent basis
- Retrieving merchandise displayed or stored above shoulder level on a frequent basis, which may include climbing an 8-foot ladder
- Constant interaction with and assistance to coworkers and clients and other members of the public
