Job Title: Staff Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our Inpatient Pharmacy team at Harborview Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing and supervising dispensing functions in the Inpatient, IV, and Outpatient pharmacies.

Responsibilities:
  • Fills prescriptions for medication and compound pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Supervises the preparation and delivery of any pharmaceutical preparations kept as stock on the nursing units.
  • Monitors medication and intravenous solution therapy for rational use.
  • Conducts a thorough patient profile review to assess the appropriateness of the prescribed pharmaceutical, including monitoring individual patient profiles for drug duplications, interactions, allergies, appropriate dose, strength, and route of administration at the time each order is received; documents relevant information in patient drug therapy.
  • Provides drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare providers.
Requirements:

One year of experience in pharmacy practice or completion of an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists accredited residency training program.

Legal Requirement:

State of Washington Pharmacist license.
