About the Role:
The Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center is seeking an experienced Development Officer to join its team. As a key fundraiser, you will drive philanthropic support through exceptional relationship management, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors.

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of the agency by building upon a history of individual support and creating new systems for retention, donor engagement, pipeline building, and other essential functions of annual fund and major gift programs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
  2. Research and analyze funding opportunities to meet organizational needs.
  3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community leaders.
  4. Write and submit grant proposals, reports, and other funding-related documents.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, creative writing, or a related area (master's degree preferred).
  • A minimum of two years' experience in grant writing and fundraising.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

Benefits:
This is a part-time position with a negotiable schedule. The estimated salary range is $50,000-$75,000 per year.
