Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating Haas, Doosan, and Fadal CNC machines, as well as manual machines including lathes and mills. The Machinist will produce precision parts to specifications, ensure efficient machine operation, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining operations.
  • Program and adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve any machining issues and optimize processes.
Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will be committed to working safely and understand all safety procedures. They will be responsible for following control plans, assuring product is processed/inspected according to proper routings, specifications, and quantity. The candidate will work to meet daily departmental production goals and be reliable and dependable. They will communicate safety, quality, product issues with supervisor, team members, and across shifts.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or apprenticeship in machining is a plus.
  • 1-3 years' experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in setting up and operating Haas, Doosan, and Fadal CNC machines preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques including lathes and mills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and gauges.
  • Solid understanding of machining principles and metal properties.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of G-code programming.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
Physical Requirements:

The work environment will be in a controlled temperature setting with dust collection systems. The successful candidate will be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements. They will be capable of walking, bending, stooping, and lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 35 lbs. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination will be required for operating machinery and handling tools. The candidate will be comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to noise and will be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
