- Backflow Certification: Perform Backflow Certifications and maintain certification.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrate the ability to anticipate potential problems and take appropriate actions to maximize the condition of facility structures and assets.
- Work Planning: Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of plumbing systems and equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and correctly repair all aspects of plumbing systems.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics.
- Client Interaction: Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
- Tool Operation: Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools.
- Documentation: Complete all documentation by required deadlines and document accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time.
- Incidental Work: Perform all incidental/associated work required to complete the job assignment.
- Communication: Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with manager.
- Work Area Maintenance: Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition.
- Safety: Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Teamwork: Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.
- Closely Confined Spaces: Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.
- Roof Work: Able to work on roofs of buildings.
- On-Call Work: Subject to call in work 24 hours per day, perform on-call duties and overtime as required.
- Lifting: Lifting to 80 lbs.
- Working at Heights: Working from heights.
- Physical Demands: Frequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.
- Adverse Conditions: Working in adverse conditions (i.e., extreme cold, extreme hot).
- Driving: Driving for long periods of time.
- Ladder Work: Climbing a ladder with a 300 lb. weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs.
- Driver's License: Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Plumbing License: Plumbing Journeyman's and/or State License is required.
- Backflow Certification: Backflow certification is required (or ability to obtain within first 90 days of employment).
- Education: High school diploma or state equivalent required.
- OSHA Knowledge: Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
- Interpersonal Skills: Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communications skills are required.
- Physical Ability: Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.
- Mechanical Knowledge: Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application.
- CMMS Experience: Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology.
- Service Experience: Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities.
The estimated total compensation range for this position is $115,601.60 USD per year.
