Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for providing speech language pathology services to patients in their homes, with a focus on improving quality of life. This role requires the ability to work independently and make decisions with an approach that integrates current research evidence with practitioner expertise and patient values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate home care treatment plans
  • Provide speech language pathology services to patients in their homes
  • Supervise and direct subordinate personnel as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, and family members to achieve optimal results
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current license to practice in the state of Maine
  • Ability to travel within assigned region as directed
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with an approach that integrates current research evidence with practitioner expertise and patient values
Working Conditions

The Speech Language Pathologist will work in a home health setting, with potential exposure to abusive and/or aggressive people, diseases or infections, hazardous materials, noxious odors, very hot or cold temperatures, and prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
