The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our aquatics programs.

This role is responsible for overseeing the development and operations of aquatics programs, including staff management, budgeting, and program development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aquatics, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Aquatics team and manage aquatics operations with a focus on customer service and program excellence.
  • Develop and implement aquatics programs that meet the needs of our members and the community.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees and volunteers to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the financial sustainability of aquatics programs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with the YMCA's mission and goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as aquatics, recreation, or business.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in aquatics management or a related field.
  • Current Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications.
  • Ability to pass a background check and provide references.
