Role Summary
As a Tank Welder, you will be responsible for welding carbon steel tanks and their components in various field settings. Utilizing techniques such as flux-core, sub-arc, and stick welding, you will adhere to the specifications provided while ensuring that all work meets our high-quality standards. You will also oversee the work of junior welders, guiding them to achieve excellence in their tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficiently weld A36 steel of varying thicknesses.
- Adjust welding equipment settings to suit different materials.
- Perform multiple pass welds that comply with X-ray standards.
- Execute lap joints for tank floors and roofs.
- Accurately position and weld large steel sheets.
- Interpret blueprints and work scopes effectively.
- Collaborate with the Tank Superintendent to select appropriate welding methods.
- Inspect welds to ensure quality and precision.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist the Tank Superintendent in managing junior welders to ensure quality workmanship.
Team Environment
Encourage teamwork and personal development to enhance employee capabilities.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of a company welding test, achievement of welding certification within six months, and possession of less than a high school education or equivalent experience. A valid driver's license is advantageous.

Problem-Solving Abilities
