About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Dialysis Patient Care Technician to join our team at Dialysis Clinic, Inc. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality care and outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
  • Guide new patients through a comprehensive 120-day education plan
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
  • Role under RN supervision
  • Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
  • Insert and remove patient access needles
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform charge nurse of any concerns
  • Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight
  • Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly
  • Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights
  • Maintain and track inventory
  • Perform laboratory work
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to collaborate with care teams
  • Ability to problem solve
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required
  • CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, and/or phlebotomy skills desired
