Project Manager - Renewable Energy Site Development

Manhard Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our renewable energy site development projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design and development of ground-mounted solar arrays and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project budgets to ensure profitability.
  • Oversee project schedules and ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare design concepts and develop project plans and specifications.
  • Prepare proposals for engineering services.
  • Coordinate and approve pricing, estimating, and proposed strategies for proposed projects.
  • Serve as a designated client contact.
  • Supervise and monitor client relationship strategies.
  • Prepare forecast of workload for team.
  • Supervise and direct team of technical staff and assigns tasks.
  • Meet/correspond with clients to obtain direction/feedback.
  • Attend client meetings- day or night.
  • Conduct site visits as required.
  • Responsible for control of work-in-process for, ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable and collection efforts on h/she projects.
  • Initiates business development activities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and career development for team members.
  • Performs other duties incidental to the work described herein.
Requirements:
  • PE license required.
  • Valid driver's license.
Qualifications:
  • Registered professional engineer with ten years design experience in energy site development and/or residential, commercial, or industrial land development projects.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Outstanding writing, communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Unanet a plus.
  • Must be fluent in the English language.
