About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Portland International Airport. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acknowledge and greet customers, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees, and store management to ensure seamless operations.
  • Know the store layout to assist customers in their selection of products and answer questions about the entire store.
  • Effectively operate a cash register and follow all company policies, cash handling procedures, and special store loss prevention procedures.
  • Communicate pricing, out-of-date, and inventory issues with management.
  • Protect all company assets, stock merchandise in stores and backrooms, and isolate, sort, and organize damaged and outdated products and returns.
  • Help maintain a neat, clean, organized store, including sweeping, dusting, straightening of merchandise, and trash removal.
  • Place stock orders, receive freight, load, and unload trucks, and provide ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor.
  • Assist in inventory and reconciliation of inventory variances.
  • Perform related work as assigned.
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to lift 40-60 pounds.
  • Ability to work in an environment exposed to the elements, both hot and cold.
  • Good time-management skills and problem-solving abilities.
