About the Role:

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Hospital Weekender Flex RN. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Evaluate and revise patient care plans to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Provide teaching and educational materials to patients and their families, considering cultural and special concerns.
  • Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire.
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on the specific unit or department.

Physical Requirements:

The RN Weekender Flex position requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. The position also requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, corrected vision and hearing to normal range, and working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
