About This Opportunity

Acredale Animal Hospital: Kempsville is seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Medical Director to join our team. As a Co-Lead Veterinarian, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, leading our veterinary team, and driving the financial performance of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Patient Care: Conduct physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry, while maintaining excellent client communication and education.
  • Lead the Veterinary Team: Monitor associate doctor performance, manage clinical practices, and drive revenue generation and expense management.
  • Develop and Implement Clinical Protocols: Stay up-to-date with new medical information, attend Continuing Education meetings, and maintain client/patient medical/surgical records.
  • Collaborate with Hospital Manager: Work together to drive financial performance, manage associate doctors, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Represent the Hospital: Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree: From an accredited university.
  • Licensure in Good Standing: To practice in the state where the hospital is located.
  • Leadership/Management Experience: 3+ years preferred.
  • Experience as a Veterinarian: 3+ years required.
  • Professional Comportment and Appearance: Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
  • Ability to Lead the Team: Through a variety of cases.
  • Respect for Clients and Pets: Compassionate team player who can uphold a great reputation with clients.
  • Commitment to High Standards: Practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
