Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Chief Nursing Officer to lead our skilled care team at Buckner Retirement Services Community: The Stayton at Museum Way, in Fort Worth, TX.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure by the Texas State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. At least two years of prior related experience in a long-term care facility and/or geriatric nursing is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations in all areas of nursing care, clarifying policies and procedures for staff, residents, and families.
  • Develop and implement resident plans of care, ensuring proper documentation and follow-through on quality assurance programs.
  • Act as Infection Preventionist for skilled nursing/long term care, developing and implementing strategies to prevent infections.
  • Orient staff to philosophy and objectives of nursing services, directing nurses and nursing assistants in setting priorities of care.
  • Conduct conferences with staff and residents to identify and resolve issues, documenting actions taken and referring unresolved issues to Director of Nursing.
What You'll Bring
  • Requires Infection Preventionist Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be able to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions, proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects and/or people.
  • Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing over 75% of shift.
Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
