The Fitness Coach at CFFNY is responsible for delivering personalized fitness programs tailored to our members' needs. This role involves educating clients on nutrition, cardiovascular health, resistance training, and promoting a balanced lifestyle. Our trainers motivate clients, providing the necessary guidance and accountability to help them achieve their fitness aspirations. A fitness coach is defined as a professional equipped with the expertise to design, instruct, and assist in effective exercise and fitness programs aimed at achieving individual health and fitness objectives. We are dedicated to fostering the professional development of our team members, ensuring they grow in their skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Every member of our team is a CFFNY Clean Ambassador, contributing to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Arrive on time and prepared for all client appointments and team meetings.
- Exhibit a passion for fitness and effectively coach clients while delivering exceptional service.
- Inspire clients to enhance their overall health and fitness.
- Assist clients in achieving their health and fitness goals through appropriate cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training.
- Possess knowledge of human anatomy, functional exercises, basic nutrition, and exercise science.
- Conduct fitness assessments following company standards.
- Inform members about current health and fitness trends.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills and a strong focus on member service.
- Design customized exercise programs based on individual client needs and goals.
- Demonstrate exercises and provide constructive feedback on techniques.
- Implement fitness program designs safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Commit to personal integrity and maintain personal health and fitness.
- Adhere to company policies and protocols.
- Participate in mandatory and optional training sessions.
- Promote and market personal training services.
- Stay updated on certifications and emerging trends in the fitness industry.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is advantageous.
- Current CPR/AED certification and basic first aid knowledge (a short grace period is provided).
- Possession of a nationally recognized personal trainer certification (NCCA accredited), such as NASM, ACE, PTA Global, NCCPT, ACSM, IFPA, NCSF, NFPT, NETA, WITS, NSCA, NESTA, ACTION, CI, or ISSA.
