Job Summary

Bering Straits Native Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our team at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, OK. As a key member of our Human Performance team, you will play a critical role in preparing Air Force pilots for the physical demands of flying operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning programs for Air Force pilots
  • Conduct fitness assessments and provide personalized coaching to optimize performance
  • Design and deliver training programs and curriculum to enhance physical fitness and performance
  • Collaborate with other Human Performance specialists to ensure a holistic approach to athlete development
  • Communicate effectively with Air Force personnel, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless program implementation
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in strength and conditioning to continuously improve program effectiveness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Science, or related field
  • Current certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
  • At least 2 years of experience in strength and conditioning coaching, preferably in a tactical or collegiate setting
  • Ability to pass and maintain Tier 1 clearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Health and Exercise Science or related field
  • Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) certification
  • Experience with functional training and movement assessments
  • Ability to operate a computer and navigate Microsoft applications
Work Environment

This position is based in a gym setting at Vance Air Force Base, with occasional travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
