CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Embody the mission, vision, and values of First Community Credit Union within the organization and the community.
  2. Provide direction to teller staff to enhance their performance, foster their development, and achieve the organization's objectives.
  3. Support branch services and operations as necessary to assist members, including serving as teller backup when required.
  4. Instill a dynamic, world-class service and sales culture that consistently seeks to enhance member service.
  5. Establish strong connections with both new and existing members that lead to sales, cross-sales, and referrals. Identify member needs and align them with products and services that support their financial aspirations and those of the organization.
  6. Engage in proactive outreach to promote a sales culture within the organization. Mentor and inspire front-line staff.
  7. Assist the Branch Manager or Senior Management with daily operations.
  8. Adhere to established lending policies and underwriting guidelines.
  9. Facilitate the opening of new accounts, including checking accounts, certificates, retirement accounts, and various club accounts.
  10. Advise members on loan issues; modifications in payment terms; repayment schedules, and collateral release.
  11. Consult with members regarding loan purpose, amount, and payment conditions.
  12. Process loan applications and provide recommendations to Senior Lending staff regarding the outcome of other loan applications.
  13. Obtain credit evaluations as necessary.
  14. Finalize and process loan requests, gather information on collateral, and ensure proper signatures and witnesses on documents.
  15. Update member records, including credit evaluations, and verify the accuracy of loan screens and documents.
  16. Review collateral insurance records for loans and request insurance coverage from members.
  17. Notify vendors to establish the credit union's security interest on titled documents and request the discharge of security interest as needed.
  18. Disburse funds for approved loans.
  19. Document information in member files regarding approved or declined loan applications, extension agreements, and deferred payments.

20. Respond to telephone inquiries regarding loan information and the organization's products and services.

21. Comply with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

22. Contribute to promoting a positive image of the credit union during non-working hours.

23. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Enthusiastic and driven.
  2. Strong leadership capabilities, including planning, organization, communication, mentoring, coaching, staff development, and goal setting.
  3. Exceptional service skills.
  4. Intermediate understanding of credit union products, services, and lending policies.
  5. Strong sales and coaching abilities.
  6. Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to credit union operations.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Basic mathematical skills (calculations involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.).
  9. Availability to work weekends and extended hours as necessary.
  10. Willingness to attend special off-site sales events and organizational functions as needed.
  11. Outgoing personality with the ability to solicit new business and make outbound calls.
  12. Ability to collaborate effectively and follow directions.
  13. Able to work independently.
  14. Detail-oriented.
  15. Willingness to make underwriting decisions.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma is required for this position. Additionally, becoming a notary is necessary.
