Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures under the direction of a Perinatologist in a highly technical and professional manner to meet daily and on-call patient care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform ultrasound exams, procedures, and reports on scheduled shifts, including on-call shifts for physician reporting/review.
- Provide care to obstetrical and occasional gynecological patients.
- Work within a sterile field as needed.
- Provide patient/family or caregiver education and bereavement counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.
- Maintain and operate clean equipment and transducers according to procedures.
- Comply with all regulatory agency recommendations and guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all patient/personnel information.
- Ensure the appropriate consents and/or declinations are obtained.
- Submit accurate and complete information to ensure documentation for services performed.
