Job Summary

The Cultivation Supervisor is a key role in our cannabis cultivation team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific stage of cultivation. This includes supervising cultivation staff, maintaining facility compliance, and ensuring the highest possible standards of work in cultivation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Cultivation Manager and Assistant Cultivation Manager with supervision and direction of cultivation staff, grow schedules, cultivation processes, inventory, and vendor relations.
  • Provide guidance and support to cultivation staff on products and services, policies and procedures, and changes in regulations.
  • Assist with responding to cultivation staff questions, concerns, or suggestions and take action when necessary to resolve conflicts.
  • Oversee proper techniques related to cultivation, including transplanting, pruning, defoliating, watering, and feeding.
  • Assist with and delegate tasks to cultivation associates to maintain a compliant and clean cultivation facility.
  • Oversee daily cultivation tasks and processes.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all applicable activities in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and overseeing the transition of product development by ensuring that the proper tasks are executed and that the environmental conditions support the cultivation of superior quality product in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain functionality of equipment and the facility, making minor repairs and reporting larger repairs and equipment replacement to Assistant Cultivation Manager.
  • Oversee supply stock, orders, and deliveries to ensure efficient levels of all cultivation inputs and supplies.
  • As directed, maintain accurate records of all cultivation activities, including employee records, inventory records, deliveries, and returns in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure all state regulations are followed and documentation is prepared and submitted as required.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree in a horticultural or agricultural field or demonstrated experience in horticulture or agricultural production preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in a hydroponic vegetable production or bedding plant production facility is desired.
  • Experience with grow data acquisition.
  • Experience designing nutrient mixes.
  • Knowledge of automated environmental control systems.
  • Understanding of horticulture practices including cloning plants.
  • Ability to identify and remedy plant disease states.
  • Can identify and remedy suboptimal nutrient states.
  • Detailed knowledge of indoor hydroponic cultivation practices, life cycle of cannabis, common pests of cannabis and compliance.
  • Must be 21 years or older and pass any and all required pre-employment screenings.
  • Full knowledge of all applicable law, regulations, and requirements to keep the facility at 100% compliance at all times, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulations.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operation.
  • Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Must be focused, pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be able to internalize training and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned.
