About the Role

LEO A DALY is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer III to join our team. As an integral part of our electrical engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and specifying electrical engineering requirements for various projects. Your expertise will be utilized to direct the work of junior electrical designers and perform Revit modeling and detailing.



The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the A/E industry. You will be responsible for conducting site investigations and observations, preparing narratives, reports, calculations, and drawing and specification documents. Additionally, you will participate in cross-discipline discussions and coordination, and assist with marketing and business development activities.

Responsibilities:


  • Designs and specifies project-appropriate electrical engineering requirements
  • Assists to direct the work of Electrical Designers
  • Performs Revit modeling and detailing
  • Attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development
  • Conducts site investigations and observations
  • Prepares narratives, reports, calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints
  • Performs cross-discipline discussions and coordination
  • Participates in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI's, solving construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept
  • Assists to mentors and encourage the development of junior professionals and designers
  • Assists with marketing and business development activities including building relationship with key clients and strategic partners, proposal writing, fee estimates, and client interviews
  • Travel for marketing and project-related activities will be required

Qualifications
  • ABET-accredited degree in Masters of Architectural Engineering with an electrical/lighting emphasis or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in electrical engineering on a wide variety of projects within the A/E industry
  • Registered Professional Electrical Engineer required
  • Demonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards
  • Production experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency using power system simulation, generator analysis, and building energy code analysis software required
  • Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately
  • Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
