Position Overview

The Security Operations Center (SOC) serves as a critical hub for physical security, operating around the clock to safeguard client assets, personnel, and customers. Utilizing advanced technologies such as alarm systems, threat management tools, and video surveillance, SOC Console Operators are tasked with identifying and addressing security incidents. These incidents may involve breaches of company policies or legal infractions. In executing their responsibilities, SOC Console Operators frequently collaborate with law enforcement, emergency services, internal departments, and senior management. Additionally, they engage in various administrative tasks to support the SOC's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor alarm systems, threat management platforms, and video surveillance feeds. Investigate and respond to incidents following established protocols.
  • Facilitate incident response coordination among law enforcement, onsite security teams, and internal business units.
  • Report significant incidents to management as necessary, preparing detailed written summaries of incidents and actions taken.
  • Handle both emergency and non-emergency calls, providing guidance on physical security issues.
  • Coordinate dispatch of emergency services for critical situations, including medical emergencies.
  • Manage physical access to corporate offices and retail locations, assisting vendors and personnel with after-hours entry as required.
  • Conduct regular tests of alarm systems to ensure functionality.
  • Troubleshoot issues with access control, alarm systems, and video surveillance, initiating service requests as needed.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in security, with a background in customer service preferred. Experience in a call center or command center environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to remain calm under pressure and make informed decisions based on a thorough understanding of SOC procedures.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Teams), with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Familiarity with CCURE-9000, MAS Monitoring, and DMP RemoteLink/Entre is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Compensation & Work Schedule

  • Competitive hourly wage.
  • Availability for first and second shifts, with initial training during first shift hours.
  • Weekend shifts may be required.
