Job Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
Responsibilities:
- Delivers high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their health, comfort, and safety.
- Administers medications and treatments as ordered, and documents resident interactions and outcomes.
- Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed, and maintains effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public.
- Counsels residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans, and develops self-care programs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
