Job Overview

The Wireless Security System Technician is responsible for the installation, disassembly, reconfiguration, and programming of wireless security systems for residential and small business clients.


Key Responsibilities:

As a technician, you will manage all pre-installation and post-installation activities, including the setup and configuration of wireless applications and monitoring systems for home networks and mobile devices.


Specific Duties Include:
  • Installing company applications and configuring monitoring systems for residential networks and mobile devices.
  • Communicating with clients before scheduled installations to confirm arrangements.
  • Preparing cost estimates following company guidelines and supervisor instructions.
  • Testing system operations to ensure proper connectivity with the signal-receiving center.
  • Coordinating with local police and fire departments to manage emergency call notifications.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in installing various equipment such as televisions, audio/video systems, and related technologies.
  • Technical skills for configuration, basic troubleshooting, and networking.

Essential Skills:
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
  • Capability to operate a company vehicle responsibly.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Additional Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A reliable vehicle suitable for transporting necessary equipment, including a ladder.
