As a Registered Nurse II at Dallas County, you will play a vital role in providing health screening and assessment services to patients. Your responsibilities will include initiating treatments and immunizations per approved protocol, as well as providing education and counseling to patients and other professionals.
Key responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical assessments and investigations, and administering appropriate treatment and/or immunization. You will also be responsible for conducting comprehensive educational counseling to patients and other professionals, and functioning as a preceptor for patients and other agencies.
Requirements for this role include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and one year of work-related experience as a Registered Nurse. You must also be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas and possess a valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Ability to withstand prolonged standing, walking, sitting and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs., unassisted. Ability to travel to various work site locations.
This role may be located within a secured facility, requires the ability to restrain and/or chase youths and be on-call 24 hours for unit emergencies.
