Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in IV therapy and hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer chemotherapeutic agents to patients as ordered by physicians, using ONS standards and guidelines.
  • Accurately and safely dispose of biohazardous waste, adhering to OSHA and HRS guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing patient assessments and document treatment rendered in OncoEMR.
  • Ensure accurate charges are captured by following guidelines for medication administration.
  • Follow the Company's I.D. policy and procedure with every patient encounter.
  • Act as moderator/instructor for chemotherapy classes as needed, educating patients and family members about medications, side effects, and treatment plans.
  • Prioritize incoming calls and messages from patients, family members, hospitals, nursing facilities, pharmacies, and physician offices, responding accordingly in a timely manner.
  • Assist with inventory and re-stocking medical supplies, recommending purchases as needed.
  • Have working knowledge of dispensing medications via Nucleus, performing cycle counts, and restocking medications within the appropriate time frame.
  • Enter all appropriate patient charges into Nucleus.
  • Attend annual Safety/OSHA training meetings and mandatory staff meetings as necessary.
  • Maintain and ensure the confidentiality of all patient and employee information at all times.
  • Assist in training new employees to related job duties.
  • Be willing to work at any Company location to help meet the Company's business needs.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of employment, with experience in IV therapy.
  • Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital is required.
  • Ability to assess patient needs and condition is essential.
  • Current CPR & BLS certifications are required.
  • Fluency in the English language with excellent oral and written communication skills is required.
  • Valid Driver's license, in state of residency, for travel to clinics.
