Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Oversee residents in the administration of prescribed medications.
  • Supervise blood glucose testing and insulin administration, and assist with other medical needs as specified in care plans.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities and promote engagement.
  • Monitor the health, safety, and overall well-being of residents.
  • Document changes in residents' health status and personal needs.
  • Help maintain a safe living environment for all residents.
  • Report any concerns regarding residents to supervisors and colleagues.
  • Respond to emergencies, providing first aid and coordinating necessary medical follow-up.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while working with equipment and supplies.
  • Foster teamwork in delivering exceptional care to residents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Completion of state-required Medication Technician Training may be necessary.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively for essential job functions.
  • Compassionate approach to caring for seniors and their belongings.
  • Friendly and respectful communication with clients.
  • Completion of new hire orientation is mandatory for caregivers.
