Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an experienced part-time Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This is an overnight position, requiring the candidate to work Thursday 7p-7:30a and one other night 11p-7:30a. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering the Charge RN for this shift.
About the RoleThis is a 20-hour per week position in our 11-suite Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive range of surgical specialties experience, including orthopedics, general ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and maxillofacial. Additionally, experience with endoscopy services, including heartburn treatment, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in the Operating Room
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and recovery
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean environment in the Operating Room
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies
- One year of direct Operating Room nursing experience
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification issued by the AHA
