Job Summary

CMP is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals of all ages and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including support during labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
  • Monitor and interpret electronic fetal heart rate tracing, perform scheduled non-stress tests, and provide care for high-risk maternal or neonatal patients.
  • Assist with bedside procedures, pelvic exams, and OB-related procedures, and perform well-baby checks.
  • Supervise and delegate to Certified Nursing Assistants and housekeeping staff, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with current standards in fetal heart monitoring and comply with ACOG standards of care.
Requirements
  • Current, full and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
  • Labor and Delivery RN experience.
  • Knowledge of nursing care principles, practices, diagnosis, and processes to provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to provide guidance and leadership to others.
  • Ability to implement appropriate nursing therapeutic interventions based on the knowledge of a wide variety of nursing diagnosis, medical and psychosocial disorders.
