At Atrium Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. This full-time position will be based in the inpatient hospital setting, working closely with a supervising physician and other multidisciplinary team members.
Job Summary- Provide comprehensive quality patient care to Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery sub-specialties in collaboration with a supervising physician.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, refer, and consult under the direction of the supervising physician.
- Maintain clinical and professional competency appropriate to the age, developmental stages, and special needs of patients served.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and provide comprehensive quality patient care.
- Manage acute problems, including changes in patient status, nursing calls, patient calls, codes, and RRTs for Sanger patients.
- Obtain detailed history and physicals on all consultations and admissions.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing as indicated for assessment and treatment.
- Manage Triage phone line for coordination of patient care, transfers, and communication with consulting services.
