About the Role

As a Phlebotomist with the American Red Cross, you will play a critical role in collecting lifesaving blood donations from volunteer donors. You will work collaboratively with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for donors, ensuring that every interaction is positive and memorable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Connect with donors, listen to their stories, and help them understand the impact of their donation
  • Collaborate with your team to create a friendly and welcoming environment for donors
  • Be detail-oriented and ensure that blood collections meet regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused

Requirements
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum one year customer service experience in a public setting
  • Current, valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Physical requirements include lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and ability to sit or stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience
  • Prior leadership experience
