Responsibilities include maintaining precise and clear documentation to ensure accountability for patient assessments and care plans. You will manage patient care in accordance with PACU standards and protocols for all surgical procedures across various levels of care. This role requires the use of specialized equipment and procedures relevant to the PACU environment.
Key competencies include:
- Knowledge and proficiency in hemodynamic management of patient care.
- Administration of medications adhering to the five Rights of Medication Administration.
- Expertise in discharge planning and patient education involving patients and their families.
- Commitment to staying current with PACU nursing practices.
- Competency in airway management of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Registered Nurse licensure.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts starting at 10:30 AM.
