Experience & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume dining establishment; experience as a server, barista, or bartender is advantageous.
- Must possess flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be capable of frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and a commitment to effective communication and quality performance.
- Valid Food Handler & Basset certifications are mandatory for this position.
- Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the cashier station, guest services, and dining area upkeep.
- Ensure that the overall guest experience surpasses expectations, consistently anticipating guests' needs.
- Respond knowledgeably to inquiries regarding the restaurant and menu.
- Exercise tact and sound judgment when addressing guest challenges, responding with patience and courtesy.
- Complete all Steps of Service for each guest, including order placement, food and beverage delivery, and ongoing meal check-ins.
- Operate all necessary tools and equipment proficiently, including the POS system, Small Cheval Guest App, and Small Cheval Gift Cards.
- Prepare cocktails, draft beers, and ice cream products for guests according to the Hogsalt Recipe Index.
- Assist with preparation and general store organization (e.g., cutting garnishes, preparing sauces, restocking dry goods) as needed.
- Help maintain store cleanliness (e.g., washing and sanitizing dishes, countertops, tables, and managing waste disposal).
