Job Summary

The Pilot in Command is designated as the PIC for a flight or series of flights in accordance with the principles and procedures required by FAR Part 135. The PIC is responsible for the safe conduct of flights to which he or she is assigned. The PIC is the final authority in the operation of the aircraft and exercises Operational Control on the Tier 2 level as described in Chapter 5 of the General Operations Manual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with the duties and responsibilities contained within AirMed International's general operating manual.
  • Ensure the aircraft is ready for mission in coordination with AirMed's global operations center.
  • Comply with all applicable FARs and OpSpecs.
  • Ensure that all pertinent information about flight operations will be disseminated through the operational control structure.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner to include being sensitive to the environment they are in at all times.
  • Attend meetings when required and may be required to attend training and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
Requirements
  • Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the United States.
  • Must hold, or be able to attain, a BE-200PL21 and C-90 PIC Qualification.
  • Hold, or be eligible to hold, an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate.
  • Meet or exceed the following total flight experience:
    • Total time hours Airplane
    • Multi-Engine - 500 hours airplane multi-engine land
    • PIC Airplane
    • In Type - 100 hours
  • Must hold or be able to attain a First Class Medical Certificate and maintain First Class Privileges.
  • Must hold valid US Passport.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to walk, bend, stand, sit, crouch unassisted for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
  • Must be able to work day and night shift.
  • Must be able to transport themselves to and from work.
  • Travel required for training events or maintenance assignment.
  • Overnights may occur in the commission of the mission.
