Position Summary
Under general supervision, the CT Technologist is responsible for performing both routine and specialized imaging procedures utilizing computed tomography technology.
Core Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates clinical proficiency in CT imaging across various patient demographics, selecting appropriate technical parameters tailored to individual patient needs. Adheres to safety protocols for radiation exposure.
- Utilizes knowledge of CT methodologies, including anatomy, physiology, and patient care, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintains accurate documentation of patient care activities within electronic health record systems.
- Ensures a safe working environment by managing supplies and equipment, reporting any issues as per established protocols.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in CT imaging is advantageous but not mandatory.
Certifications:
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiography is required.
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography is preferred.
- State licensure as a Radiographer is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is mandatory.
