Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified Board-Certified Physician specializing in Adolescent Medicine to develop and lead an adolescent medicine program within our extensive regional health system.
Key Responsibilities:
This role encompasses various critical areas, including:
- Gender Medicine Care: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team focused on pediatric gender medicine, providing comprehensive consultations and follow-up care for adolescents.
- Consultative Services: Offer expert consultation to pediatricians, subspecialists, and mental health professionals in managing adolescent health issues, including:
- High-risk behaviors such as substance use and mental health challenges.
- Complex medical conditions with psychosocial components.
- Specialized Care: Address needs related to:
- Solid-organ transplants
- Oncology
- Congenital heart disease
- Transgender and gender-expansive youth
- Reproductive health, including contraceptive care and STI prevention
- Substance use treatment
- Transitioning from pediatric to adult healthcare
- Leadership and Education: Provide training and mentorship for medical students and pediatric residents, while leading educational initiatives in adolescent health across the region.
