Position Responsibilities

The culinary team is tasked with delivering outstanding customer service to all internal and external patrons by leveraging extensive knowledge of our offerings and effectively communicating with customers, pilots, and fellow team members.

  • Welcome customers with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu items and daily specials.
  • Handle food transactions using the cash register and POS system.
  • Execute opening and closing duties, including food preparation and sanitation.
  • Ensure a clean kitchen, dining area, and beverage station throughout service hours.
  • Prepare and cook menu items and daily specials.
  • Adhere to all standards set forth by the American National Standards Institute-Conference for Food Protection.
  • Provide prompt feedback to management regarding service issues or customer feedback.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary.

  • Basic mathematical proficiency.
  • Fundamental cooking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Cafe Manager.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully fulfill the essential functions of this position, including but not limited to:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods while preparing meals.
Work Schedule

This is a non-exempt role requiring evening shifts, occasional weekends, and work on scheduled company holidays.

Travel Requirements

No travel is anticipated for this position.

Qualifications
  • Experience in cooking or customer service, preferably within the food service sector.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry-level position.
  • Availability to work evenings.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background screening.
  • Commitment to a drug-free workplace, including pre-employment and random testing.
