Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Teller I/II to join our team at Municipal Employees Credit Union of Baltimore, Inc. As a Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional member service and handling cash transactions with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic cash receipt and payment services to members in accordance with credit union policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate transactional records and balance each day's cash drawer according to established guidelines.
  • Refer members to Member Service Representatives to obtain product information and/or services that best meet their financial needs.
  • Watch for and report any suspicious activity or counterfeit monetary instruments.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • At least six months of Teller experience or equivalent experience in sales/customer service/cash handling preferred.
  • One year of Teller experience required for Teller II position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced cash handling environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment.
Physical Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards or controls, and talk and hear. The employee may be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel. The employee must be able to lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25-pound objects.
