Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee and supervise assigned unit activities and staff assignments. The ideal candidate will have experience working with geriatric and short-term rehabilitation patients, and will be dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident.
Responsibilities- Organize and oversee assigned unit activities and staff assignments
- Demonstrate clinical expertise consistent with established standards of nursing practice
- Identify and respond to patient needs in a timely and appropriate manner
- Monitor and document vital signs, treatments administered, and patient responses
- Administer medications and treatments as needed
- Communicate and direct services or any plan/concerns/information to appropriate team members, residents, family, or medical staff
- Identify and follow disciplinary action as stated in policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, physicians, and other vendors/services
- Perform RN assessment to resident's post incidents or change in condition
- Lead and direct emergency situations
- Maintain accurate nursing report, staffing sheets, and census roster
- Current and good standing RN License in State of New York
- Experience with geriatric/short term rehab/Alzheimer's patients is desirable
- Progressive nursing experience, supervisory experience preferred
- Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, compassionate care to each resident
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, and elderly
- Have patience and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organization skills
- Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff
