Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at Community Health Programs. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will collaborate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support our mission to improve the health and well-being of our community.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and escort patients to exam rooms, prepare patient charts, and accurately obtain and record patient vital signs.
  • Assist providers with exams, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic treatments as requested.
  • Perform EKGs, prepare laboratory requests, and ensure accurate labeling and recording of specimens.
  • Administer vaccines (if certified) and maintain professional certification.
  • Update patient service profiles, answer and screen calls, and perform clerical duties as needed.
  • Communicate with outside agencies and provide timely responses to patient inquiries.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program.
  • Medical office experience and electronic medical records experience are a plus.
  • Massachusetts Certified Medical Assistant Certification is required.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $18.00-$23.00 per hour. The Certified Medical Assistant will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
