Your Role
As a Senior Process Engineer within our Manufacturing Division, your technical acumen and leadership will be vital to the operational success of our production facilities. Leveraging your expertise in chemical engineering, process safety, and operational efficiency, you will tackle production challenges at their source and propose enhancements to equipment design. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving improvements in throughput, reliability, quality, and safety, ensuring our manufacturing teams can meet the demands of an expanding customer base. As we evolve and scale our operations, you will play a key role in designing the systems and processes essential for our next-generation battery technology.
- Provide technical support for production processes and equipment, proactively addressing operational challenges.
- Analyze production metrics, investigate anomalies, lead root cause analyses, and implement corrective measures to optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Enhance process documentation, including P&IDs, PFDs, HAZOPs/PHAs, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine manufacturing processes and execute projects aimed at improving equipment reliability, throughput, product quality, and safety.
- Represent manufacturing interests in the development of next-generation production equipment, processes, and products.
- Mentor and support manufacturing and engineering team members through effective communication, information sharing, and training initiatives.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering within high-volume production environments, such as chemical, oil & gas, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, battery, or automotive industries.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production equipment, including furnaces, reactors, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with process safety management, including management of change, HAZOP/PHA studies, and safety-critical instrumentation.
- Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Demonstrated capability in leading projects and collaborating with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data presentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, demonstrating self-motivation and comfort with ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test and wear necessary respiratory protection.
- Personal protective equipment is required, including lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes.
- This position may involve routine production support during non-standard hours.
- Physical demands include the ability to move between buildings and remain stationary for extended periods.
Compensation
The starting base salary for this position ranges from $112,000 to $142,000, influenced by factors such as education, experience, and skills. This base salary is part of a comprehensive Total Rewards package that may include benefits, equity, and bonuses.
