Fleet Mechanic Job Description

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of gas and diesel vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition and identify worn and damaged parts.
  • Perform routine PM service, break service, and hydraulic system maintenance.
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
  • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two (2) years proven fleet mechanic experience.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment, hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, thoroughness, and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:

The Fleet Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, performing general physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials up to 100 pounds.
