Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement effective nursing strategies and policies.
  • Provide clinical operational leadership and oversight to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Genesis policies and procedures.
  • Develop and manage the nursing department budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective allocation of staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and mentor staff to achieve top-of-license practice.
  • Assist with nurse staffing, including performance evaluations, interviews, and orientation of nurses.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Registered Nurse/RN license by the State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum 3 years full-time or equivalent clinical experience, with at least 2 years' experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting.
  • Knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
  • On-call availability is required.
