Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Summary

Rang Healthcare, a leading healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing Nuclear Medicine procedures to obtain desired imaging results according to physician specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Nuclear Medicine Imaging and related equipment
  • Educate, position, and immobilize patients for Nuclear Medicine procedures
  • Coordinate Nuclear Medicine examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
  • Understand and follow provider Imaging orders correctly
  • Submit required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
  • Evaluate image quality and communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and leadership
  • Utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies
  • Practice sterile technique and follow infection prevention policies
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, including patient transfer, and prepare and administer Radioisotopes according to Radiologist protocol
  • Follow Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
  • Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite
