Urology Faculty Opportunity

UTMB Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Urologist and/or a Fellowship trained Endourologist or Urologic Oncologist to join our team in Galveston, Texas.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced urologist to provide direct patient care, including surgery, consultative services, outpatient services, and care of hospitalized patients. The successful candidate will participate in all teaching activities of the Department, including conferences and lectures, bedside teaching, and rounds; house staff supervision in the operating room, clinics, and in-patient services; continuing medical education; and local, regional, and national meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to urology patients through the development of a clinical practice.
  • Mentor and educate students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in clinical research programs.
  • Share general urology call with other faculty members.
Requirements
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical institution.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Board certification or board eligibility.
  • Completed fellowship training if applicable.
